25-26 BOARD MEMBERS
Our current board members work hard all year to provide our members with the appropriate resources, information, and service events they need to be successful in their undergraduate/pre-dental careers.

Alex Donell
Co-President
Year: 3rd
Major: Psychobiology
Favorite thing about PDSOP: I joined PDSOP to explore the dental field while connecting with like-minded students who share the same passion. As the first in my family to pursue a career in healthcare, I relied on PDSOP as my primary resource for guidance on prerequisites, the DAT, and insight into life as a dentist. Last year, I had the privilege of serving as Co-Community Service Chair, where I enjoyed finding new opportunities for our members to serve the Los Angeles community. This year, I’m thrilled to step into the role of Co-President, and I’m especially excited to support our members and help them feel confident on their pre-dental journey.

Ryan Javanmard
Co-President
Year: Alumni
Major: Human Biology and Society
Favorite thing about PDSOP: I joined PDSOP to deepen my understanding of dentistry, and now as Co-President I’m excited to bring new experiences that help pre-dental students learn about the journey to dental school and gain valuable insights from professionals in the field.

Elena Liu
Vice President
Year: 3rd
Major: Human Biology and Society
Favorite thing about PDSOP: I came into PDSOP my first year knowing nearly nothing about dentistry and through PDSOP, learned so much about the profession, the different specialties, and what dental schools are looking for in applicants. Being supported so much through PDSOP inspired me to apply for board and help other pre-dentals get the same support! I got to talk to many prospective PDSOP members as recruitment director last year, and I hope to continue connecting with many more in the upcoming year! My favorite thing about PDSOP is the many amazing resources, such as the opportunity to network with dental school admissions representatives, current dentists, and dental school students!

Christina Hadeed
Secretary
Year: 4th
Major: Biology, Public Health Minor
Favorite thing about PDSOP: I joined PDSOP to broaden my knowledge of the dental field and to connect with a community of students who share the same career goals as I do. What I love most about this organization is that it offers something valuable to every student, no matter where they are in their journey. I’m excited to continue serving as secretary and can’t wait to connect with everyone throughout the upcoming year!

Haelynn Kim
Treasurer
Year: 3rd
Major: Human Biology and Society
Favorite thing about PDSOP: PDSOP board works hard to bring many unique opportunities to our members. Last year, I had such a great time working with and getting to know the team that works to accomplish this, that I knew this was something I definitely wanted to be a part of again this year!

Audrey Yung
Webmaster
Year: 4th
Major: Psychobiology
Favorite thing about PDSOP: I joined PDSOP because I was interested in the dental field and wanted to learn more about how to prepare for dental school and what the admissions process was like. PDSOP offers so many opportunities through speaker events, workshops, and socials to give members a glimpse into dentistry. My favorite thing about PDSOP is how welcoming everyone is and how everyone truly wants to help one another succeed.

Michael Leone
Community Service
Co-Coordinator
Year: 3rd
Major: Psychobiology
Favorite thing about PDSOP: I initially joined PDSOP as a way to decide if dentistry was a field I wanted to go into. After solidifying that choice, I sought to increase my involvement and elevate the community and outreach aspect of PDSOP. My favorite part of PDSOP is the variety of speakers that come. Each meeting you either leave with a better understanding of a specific school or something completely different like what it looks like to run/buy a practice or try to start one from the ground up.
Shraddha Guha
Community Service
Co-Coordinator

Year: 2nd
Major: Psychobiology
Favorite thing about PDSOP: I joined PDSOP in my freshman year in hopes of finding lifelong connections with people who have the same passion and love for dentistry that I do. My favorite thing about PDSOP is all the resources it has provided, from interactive socials working on manual dexterity exercises to learning about the financial aspects of dentistry. I decided to run for a board position because I knew I wanted to be more involved in the pre-dental community and also make an impact on the organization that has helped shape my journey as a pre-dental student. I am super excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to meet everyone!!

Jenna Kaur
Social Co-Coordinator
Year: 2nd
Major: Biology
Favorite thing about PDSOP: I joined PDSOP because I wanted to find a community that felt welcoming while also providing valuable resources for pre-dental students. As a first-year member last year, I really appreciated how supportive the environment was and how it helped me grow both personally and professionally. I decided to run for board because I want to be part of fostering that same sense of community for others. I’m so excited to now be on board and contribute to continuing that mission!
Ava Ghashghaei
Social Co-Coordinator

Year: 4th
Major: Human Biology and Society
Favorite thing about PDSOP: I joined PDSOP when I transferred to UCLA after hearing amazing things about it from other students. Everything I heard ended up being true—I’ve learned so much about the dental field, felt more confident in my decision to become a dentist, and made some really great pre-dental friends along the way.

Alyson Ngyuen
Recruitment Director
Year: 4th
Major: Anthropology
Favorite thing about PDSOP: My favorite part about PDSOP is its welcoming environment! I love how the club encourages learning and provides so many opportunities to do so! From hosting dental school reps and sharing the finances of dentistry, to pairing mentorship groups and fun socials, PDSOP has everything for everyone.
